While all things vintage and timeless are in style now, and for good reason, I am loving the idea of this vintage baseball themed nursery, that effortlessly grows into a big boy room in a few short years! Here are two steps to achieving this look, that will grow with your child for years to come.

Vintage style accessories
The first key here is finding a few core pieces that say baseball right off the bat- no pun intended!
The baseball diamond area rug, is a great choice with it's muted color palette, as opposed to other options out there which might have brighter colors, or a more cartoony vibe. We are going for elevated, timeless, classy, and this one hits the mark.
The baseball accessories on the shelf are a great touch too. This one has a trophy, a wire basket full of baseballs, but you could also use a thrifted or secondhand glove, or displayed baseball cards.
Subtle, styled walls
Don't forget about the walls! With a design that we want to last for years, it's a good idea to pick a paint and wallpaper combo that is subtle, elevated, and ties the room together. In this design we have the batten board in a deep navy blue, and the blue gingham wallpaper above it, to add interest and texture while reinforcing the vintage vibe. Remember to always get samples of wallpaper and paint before ordering, so that you can test them out in the actual room, and see how the lighting in your home affects the colors, so that you know you'll love it before you put it up!
Other than that, we are just updating the furniture from crib to big boy bed or bunk bed, and the changing table to a dresser. You can add in other fun enhancements like the leather cushion that gives baseball glove vibes, and the awesome lamp that holds baseballs (my oldest would love this).
